Playmobil Unveils Scooby-Doo & Back to the Future Toys at NYCC

Updated: Jan 13

Get ready Playmobil lovers, there are exciting new toys on the way, including Scooby-Doo and Back to the Future!

Playmobil had a booth at the New York Comic Con where they displayed their new lines for both properties, and I've got pictures and video so you can get a good look!

First up, Scooby-Doo! Playmobil's Scooby-Doo line will be released in January of 2020.

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy will come in a set with a ghost figure and snacks.

Check out Scooby-Doo! He's spot on!

The biggest set for the line will be the iconic Mystery Machine, which will come with Fred, Daphne and Velma.

The Scooby-Doo line will also include blind bag figures of various monsters from the show. Each and every monster has a removable mask, to reveal the culprit behind that episode's mystery!

"And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

Next up, Back to the Future! Playmobil will release this line in May of 2020.

As the Back to the Future franchise revolves around the DeLorean Time Machine, that's also the centerpiece of the line.

Marty and Doc are in their Eighties outfits in the DeLorean set, so Playmobil will release them in their Fifties outfits in a separate set.

Marty is ready to play Johnny B. Goode!

And, as they did with Ghostbusters, Playmobil will release giant figures of Marty and Doc.

And here are the large figures next to the standard sized ones so you have an idea of the scale being used.

This is exciting stuff for collectors! Playmobil excels at making hyper-realistic vehicles so I'm really looking forward to getting a hold of the Mystery Machine and the Delorean! The Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A vehicles released by Playmobil were exquisitely done, and I can't wait to have all of these vehicles displayed together!

Oh, and for those who missed it, here is my review of Playmobil's Ecto-1A.

Playmobil also had their Ghostbusters line on hand. I'm an unabashed fan of their Ghostbuster line, and I did a full review of these toys here.

Finally, Playmobil had their Dragons line on hand, from How to Train Your Dragon. These are also great toys, and I reviewed them here.

All in all, great showing from Playmobil at the New York Comic Con. I'm really excited to see their new Scooby-Doo and Back to the Future toy lines!
